Brain uses a lot of information that one is not consciously aware of, too. For example, you can be unconscious, but your brain still keeps your body alive by processing information about your internal state. So We may say, our consciousness is never complete. It also shifts in and out of existence when we sleep, or are anesthetized. It ‘moves around’ when you are focusing your attention on different tasks.

The brain works much as a classifier of things. As such, a complex enough brain is very well able to connect everything that happens inside your body as belonging together. Our actions, body state, emotions, and thoughts are combined to create a new ‘feeling’ or ‘concept’ of yourself. And again, sometimes you are more aware of what’s happening in your body, sometimes more aware of your thoughts, or emotions. When you are really engaged and deeply focused on something, I think you can sometimes even be un-aware of yourself.
